Cookie
policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which types we use on this website, for what purpose, and how you can manage them at any time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files of information stored on your device (computer, mobile, tablet) when you visit a website. They let the page remember certain information, such as your preferences, or produce usage statistics.
They can be first-party (managed by this website) or third-party (managed by another entity, such as Google or Vimeo). This policy also covers equivalent technologies, such as the browser’s local storage.
Types of cookies used on this website
At LORENZO Colorlab we use three categories:
They are required for the website to work and cannot be disabled:
- lc_consent: stores your cookie choice so we do not ask again for 12 months.
- lc_lang (browser local storage): remembers your chosen language.
These technologies are not used for analytics or advertising.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: pages viewed, time on page, navigation between sections and errors. Google Analytics is loaded through Google Tag Manager, the tool that manages the website’s measurement tags.
Google Analytics assigns your browser a pseudonymous identifier, stored in the _ga cookies, which distinguishes visits without revealing your identity. We review the results in aggregate and do not use them for advertising.
Neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics is loaded until you accept this category.
Videos on this website play in Vimeo’s embedded player. When it loads, Vimeo may set its own cookies and receive technical data from your browser, such as your IP address. We load the player with Vimeo’s “Do Not Track” option enabled.
Some magazine articles include YouTube (Google) videos, loaded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. If you do not accept this category, no player is loaded and a still image of the video is shown instead.
List of cookies
Cookies this website may set, depending on the categories you accept:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| lc_consent | LORENZO Colorlab | Store your cookie choice | Technical | 12 months | First-party |
| _ga | Distinguish visits with a pseudonymous identifier | Analytics | 2 years | Third-party | |
| _ga_RG58422VTH | Keep the measurement session state | Analytics | 2 years | Third-party | |
| player_clearance, cf_clearance, __cf_bm, _cfuvid | Vimeo | Security and operation of the video player | Third-party | __cf_bm: 30 minutes; _cfuvid: session; others, as set by Vimeo | Third-party |
| Pending verification | YouTube (Google) | Play embedded YouTube videos | Third-party | Pending verification | Third-party |
Vimeo’s cookies are set on Vimeo’s own domain. Because we load the player with the “Do Not Track” option, Vimeo only sets the security cookies listed; if you have visited Vimeo before, your browser may send the ones it already holds. More information at vimeo.com/cookie_policy.
Who uses the cookies?
The information collected by cookies may be processed by:
- LORENZO Colorlab (first-party cookies).
- Google Ireland Limited, provider of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and YouTube, with possible access by Google LLC (US).
- Vimeo.com, Inc. (US), provider of the video player.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and vimeo.com/privacy.
How can you manage or withdraw your consent?
On your first visit, the cookie banner lets you:
- Accept all cookies
- Reject all non-essential cookies
- Configure which categories you wish to allow
Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Until you choose, only technical cookies are used.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookies” button in the footer or from “Cookie settings” on this page. When you withdraw analytics, we delete this website’s _ga cookies and reload the page to stop measurement. When you withdraw third-party cookies, we remove the Vimeo players; cookies Vimeo has already set on its own domain can only be deleted from your browser.
Disabling from the browser
If you prefer, you can also block or delete cookies from your browser. Instructions for the most common browsers are:
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/es/kb/Deshabilitar%20cookies
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/es-es/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
- Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/help/4468242
- Opera: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/web-preferences/#cookies
Disabling cookies entirely may affect the correct functioning of the website.
International transfers
Google and Vimeo may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider.
Data retention
The retention period depends on each cookie:
- lc_consent: 12 months from your choice. After that period, or if this policy changes materially, we will ask for your consent again.
- lc_lang: until you clear your browser data.
- _ga and _ga_RG58422VTH: 2 years, or until you withdraw your consent.
- Vimeo cookies: according to the period set by Vimeo in its cookie policy.
- YouTube cookies: according to the period set by Google.
Changes to the Cookie Policy
Lorenzo Colorlab may update this Cookie Policy to adapt it to legal or technical changes.
The date of the last update appears at the end of the document.
